COAST CITIES ? Bella Bambino Nannies was founded by Rebecca Howard and is
the first of two domestic placement agencies formed by her. Howard was born
and raised in San Diego where her love of children began at an early age.
During high school, Howard worked as a counselor for the Boys & Girls Club
and was often asked by the parents to babysit during her off time. While
working her way through college, Howard worked as a site coordinator for the
Kreative Kids Club in San Marcos,where she taught preschool and worked with
school-aged children before and after school. It was this experience that
catapulted Howard into wanting to become a nanny. She accepted her first
fulltime nanny position with a Rancho Santa Fe family at the age of 20 and
worked for several years traveling with the family and caring for their
child. Her next nanny position found Howard working full time once more
caring for two school-aged children.While working for this family, Howard
found herself constantly being asked about nannies from the parents she came
into contact with while bringing the children to school and other
activities. These parents were extremely frustrated with the lack of
professionalism, integrity, and quality of candidates they were presented
with through the local agencies. Howard decided that she would one day
create a nanny referral agency that would provide these families with the
top-notch service they were seeking.
